I like Orbit quite a bit, and unlike many of the Kontakt libraries I’ve bought over the years, the sounds are not ‘too much’ right out of the box. So many libraries are full of those patches that sound like a whole piece of music when you hit one key, but I’m looking for things that can integrate well with the other sounds I create, and Orbit fits that bill nicely. I used it right away on my latest project, a six-hour miniseries version of Childhood’s End on SyFy, and a couple of things made it to the final mix unchanged and unedited. It’s a nice addition to my collection and the price was right.
